PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel polymer electrolyte having improved ion conductivity without reducing the mechanical strength and superior temperature change, and a lithium polymer battery using he same. SOLUTION: The improved gel polymer electrolyte exists between a positive electrode sheet 11 and a negative electrode sheet 13 of a sheet lithium polymer battery 10 comprises an electrolyte body 12 containing a gel polymer and an electrolytic solution. The gel polymer is formed with at least one type of particular polymer 12b, different in structure from a matrix polymer 12a, dispersed into the matrix polymer 12a.
