PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively and accurately comparing many data groups with each other. SOLUTION: A BLAST analysis means 11 calculates the homologies among data contained in a data group to be analyzed and a 1st data group, respectively calculates the number of data (the number of orthologous genes) having homology as a 1st homology value x by using the calculated value, sets up nA thresholds E, and calculates the 1st homology value xi concerning each threshold Ei . The means 11 calculates the homology of data contained in the data to be analyzed and a 2nd data group respectively, calculates the number of data (the number of orthologous genes) having homology as a 2nd homology value y, sets up nB thresholds E, and calculates the 2nd homology value yi concerning each threshold Ei . A T calibration means 12 judges whether the data group to be analyzed are analogous to the 1st data group or the 2nd data group on the basis of relationship among the 1st homology value xi , the 2nd homology value yi and the number n of the thresholds.
