PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency synthesizer with a narrow channel interval and also with low phase noise made to be low spurious and a frequency converter using the synthesizer. SOLUTION: In this multiloop type frequency synthesizer, an amplifier circuit 28 of a class A operation with little generation of higher harmonic is used in a level conversion circuit 70 in a circuit, and a power supply voltage of a post stage is also adjusted so as to optimize an input voltage of each IC that receives a signal of the amplifier circuit 28.
