The invention relates to the detection, diagnosis and treatment or prevention of Campylobacter infections. The invention provides a method for producing or selecting for progeny of a bacteriophage comprising a nucleic acid encoding a proteinaceous molecule allowing targeting or binding of said phage to Campylobacter spp comprising contacting phages from a phage library with at least one Campylobacter spp mutant devoid of a component present in a wild-type Campylobacter spp.
