The attachment has a box-shaped housing (10) for slidably receiving a digital display (20). At least one guide (30) in the housing corresponds to a guide element (31) on the display. The display can be pressed into the housing against springs (40). A damping unit (50) connected to the guide element (31) brakes the upward movement of the display. A locking hook (62) holds the display in its press-in position. The display is connected to an electric circuit provided in the housing.
