A non−flocked weatherstrip having a single−piece construction composed of a body portion(3)for mounting it on a vehicle and a lip portion(4)to be abutted against the window glass(7)of a door,wherein a lip surface layer portion(6)is formed on the surface of the lip portion(4)contacting with the window glass(7)through molding a layer comprising a thermoplastic resin composition or thermoplastic elastomer composition containing crosslinked particles by the two−color extrusion method,and the surface of the lip surface layer portion exhibits a concave−convex shape having a ten point average roughness(Rz)of 300 to 500μm,as measured by means of a lazer microscope.It is preferred for achieving the above surface roughness that,in the two−color co−extrusion molding to form the lip surface layer portion(6),the ratio of the land length L(mm)of a two−color extrusion die to the thickness t(mm)of the lip surface layer portion(6),L/t,lies in the range of 20 to 200.The non−flocked weatherstrip is formed by the use of a thermoplastic resin or thermoplastic elestomer composition having excellent formability,and also exhibits sliding property,dust removing property,low glass surface marring property,abrasion resistance,flexibility and sealing property which are comparable to those of a weatherstrip flocked with nylon piles,and thus suitably used for a window glass of an automobile or the like.
