<p>A cigarette filter having a cellulose acetate fiber containing a plasticizer as a main component, characterized in that the plasticizer has a solubility parameter δ of 18.5 to 22.0 J1/2/cm3/2 and a polarity term δp of a solubility parameter of 5.0 to 7.5 J1/2/cm3/2. The plasticizer is, for example, tributyl phosphate or triethyl citrate. The cigarette filter is capable of effectively removing a semi-volatile component which is difficult to be removed by a conventional cigarette and has been found through the establishment of a method of estimating the performance capability for selective filtration of a cigarette filter.</p> |
