<p>A method of controlling the operation of a fuel injector, comprising the steps of writing the performance order of a plurality of engine stop means installed in the fuel injector (1) in a table (11B) beforehand so that the operating conditions of the engine stop means can be detected, determining, referring to the table (11B), the engine stop means corresponding to the counted values of a counter (11A) for performing counting when the operation of an internal combustion engine is determined to be stopped by the engine stop means to be operated when a key switch off signal (KF) for instructing the stop of operation of the internal combustion engine is issued, and stopping the operation of the engine by operating the determined engine stop means and checking whether a problem occurs or not with the engine stop means and, when a problem occurs with the engine stop means, repeatedly performing the operation of the engine stop means to check whether the problem with the engine stop means is temporary or not.</p> |
