The torque produced in the conventional engine is equal to zero at the upper and lower turning point, resulting in a high loss of energy. A crankshaft fitted with a pivot bent into a right angle facilitates a reduction of this loss and increases the efficiency of the system of up to sixty-five percent. A higher torque is created at all stages of the motion of the piston.
