The method involves addition of a version of the components to be installed that has been upgraded with supplementary function, such as a protection function against unauthorized use, and addition of auxiliary codes (15) to the software package (1), without removing from the program archive the components to be installed. The installation program is modified, so that when it is executed, the auxiliary code is run so that the upgraded components are installed. An Independent claim is also included for a computer program product. |
