This device for glazing the blades of sharp tools comprises a plate (1) fitted with an opening (2) letting through the tool blade, opposite which opening (2) are provided two glazing structures (10, 12) in the form of oblong spindles which cross one another. Both these glazing spindles (10, 12) are hinged at one of their ends on said plate (1), each on one side of said opening (2), and they comprise elastic recall means, in order to form a glazing V mobile under the pressure of the blade to be glazed. According to this invention, each glazing spindle (10, 12) consists of a U-shaped rod comprising two parallel or substantially parallel arms (48, 50) which are connected at one of their ends (52) and whereof both free ends comprise square junctions forming hinging axes which are recessed, free to rotate, in offset engagement orifices provided on an appropriate support (3, 4) interlocked with said plate (1), in order to obtain elastic recall of said glazing spindles (10, 12) by a twisting effect.
