PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify the driving direction of a member such as a reach fork lift while reducing the number of components by using the existing components and to reduce the space and the cost. SOLUTION: An operator operates a reach lever into a reach-out state or a react-in state (step S1). When the reach lever is thrown frontward or rearward, a detecting switch detects the operation, the detection signal is inputted into a control part, and the control part incorporates and stores the position of the reach at that time (step S3). Secondly, a hydraulic motor is driven at a crawl via a hydraulic motor driving circuit (step S4). The control part incorporates the reach position of a prescribed time later (step S5), compares the signal value incorporated last time with the signal value incorporated this time (step S6), and when the last storage value is larger than the read value of this time, the control part identifies that the operation of the reach-out is performed (step S7).
