PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating body with a simple structure and advantageous in miniaturization. SOLUTION: The floating body 1A has a base part 2, a rotor installed rotatably to the base part 2 and provided with a rotary vane 34, and a vibrating body 4 rotatively driving the rotor 3. The vibrating body 4 is composed by laminating an electrode, a piezoelectric element and a reinforcing plate, and it is installed so as to abut on an outer circumferential face 331 of a driven body 33 provided on the rotor 3. When an alternating voltage is applied to the piezoelectric element, the vibrating body 4 is vibrated (longitudinally vibrated) at a minute longitudinal amplitude by expansion and contraction of the piezoelectric element. When the vibrating body 4 vibrates, the driven body 33 repeatedly receives frictional force (pressing force) from the vibrating body 4 and it rotates. Following this, the rotor 3 also rotates. When the rotor 3 rotates, lift acts on the rotary vane 34, and by this, the floating body 1A floats into air.
