PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chamfering device for performing the chamfering without interrupting a progressive pressing in a progressive pressing step of a hoop. SOLUTION: In a progressive press or a progressive pressing method having a plurality of pressing steps of progressively feeding the hoop and successively pressing it, the hoop is chamfered in one step of the progressive press. The chamfering is performed by a chamfering and grinding device waiting for rotation when the press is at a lowest position.
