Corrosion inhibitor in gaseous phase, process of its preparation and use

A corrosion inhibiting composition comprises: (a) an inorganic salt of nitric acid, (b) a water-insoluble multi-substituted phenol, (c) an aliphatic ester of a di-hydroxybenzoic acid and (d) tocopherol (2,5,7,8-tetramethyl-2-(4',8',12'-trimethyltridecyl) chroman-6-ol). An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of a sublimatable corrosion inhibiting composition (I) by mixing together components (a)-(d).
