PURPOSE: Provided is a pharmaceutical composition for prevention and treatment of liver diseases caused by viral infection by using a Semen Cocis extract as main ingredient and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. CONSTITUTION: The pharmaceutical composition characteristically contains a Semen Cocis extract and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. It contains pharmacological components of the Semen Cocis extract and is thus useful for prevention and treatment of liver diseases which are caused by viral infection.
