According to the test patterns, a plurality of patterns are formed with the dot formation position in the main scanning direction displaced gradually with respect to the reference. Furthermore, test patterns capable of clearly grasping the displacement amount are printed by forming a patch with dots of two colors, disposing dots by the n×n pixel unit, or the like.
