PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure in a rotary kiln wherein stable sealing property can be kept unchanged with pressing force kept unchanged irrespective of thermal expansion. SOLUTION: A sealing structure is adapted such that in a combination of at least one end of a rotary drum 1 of a rotary kiln and a fixed cover case 2, the inside and the outside of the rotary kiln is sealed by interposing a sealing member 33 formed annularly between a flange shaped mounting plate 31 formed surrounding the outer periphery of the rotary drum 1 and a hollow annular press plate 22 extending from the fixed cover case 2 through a bellows 21. In the sealing structure, there are provided a plurality of air cylinder apparatuses 34 as pressure control means between the fixed cover case 2 and the press plate 32.
