PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an acidic hair dye composition which scarcely causes the discoloration of hair, when the hair is dyed and then washed, and thereby has excellent color fastness. SOLUTION: This hair dye composition comprising an acidic dye and an acid is characterized by formulating one or more acidic dyes selected from Green No.204, Red No.230 (1), and Yellow No.202 (1) in an amount of 0.1 to 15% based on the total amount of the acidic dyes in the hair dye composition.
