PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for a heavy object flexibly corresponding to size of the heavy object which is a support object and capable of easily transporting and delivering it to a work area. SOLUTION: The expansion rod unit 100 is composed by vertically erecting a plurality of retractable expansion rods 1 and the support object (the heavy object) is supported at a predetermined height by the plurality of expansion rods 1. In usage, a standing state of an expansion rod 1 is provided by connection with another expansion rod 1 by a connecting member 22, and by this, the expansion rod unit 100 is assembled. Accordingly, scale of the expansion rod unit 100 can be enlarged further by continuously connecting the expansion rods 1.
