PURPOSE: A method for reporting a state of a receiver using a short message service of a mobile phone is provided to transmit short messages related to various states of the receiver to a caller. CONSTITUTION: A mobile phone determines whether a state report function is set up if the mobile phone receives a call(SP1). If state report function is set up, the mobile phone determines whether a caller ID exists(SP2). If the caller ID exists, the mobile phone determines whether the caller ID is a mobile phone number(SP3). If the caller ID is the mobile phone number, the mobile phone transmits a short message set in the report function to the caller ID(SP4). The mobile phone executes a general call receiving operation(SP5). |
