PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for air conditioner in which power consumption is reduced while enhancing comfortableness at the time of homecoming. SOLUTION: An e-mail indicative of the results of a decision made at a system section 10 whether an indoor temperature measured by an indoor temperature measuring device 35 is comfortable or not is generated from an indoor temperature state mail output section 11 and transmitted to a portable information terminal 300 carried by a user being out. When a receiving mail processing section 12 makes a decision that the content of an e-mail returned back from the portable information terminal 300 of the user is an instruction to operate an air conditioner 100, or makes a decision that the current time is a specified time before a set homecoming time, the air conditioner 100 is operated through an air conditioner operating section 13 and a conduction unit 37. When the receiving mail processing section 12 makes a decision that the content of the e-mail returned back from the portable information unit 300 of the user is an instruction to alter the homecoming time, the homecoming time is altered at the system section 10. |
