<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce friction load during sheet feeding. SOLUTION: This sheet feeding device 21 comprises a presser plate 9 for loading sheets; sheet feeding rotary rollers disposed opposite to the sheets, having an arc portion 7a and notch portions 7b, 7c for delivering a sheet from the presser plate by making the arc portion rotationally come into contact with the sheet; and an elastically deformable friction elastic member 11 disposed downstream of the presser plate, with a leading edge thereof positioned within an area of a rotation trajectory of the arc portion. When the sheet feeding rotary rollers rotate, the friction elastic member is pressed by the arc portion and is elastically deformed at a downstream side of a sheet transporting direction to make the sheet in pressure-contact with the arc portion, and the member 11 forms a clearance with the notch portions while the notch portions 7b, 7d of the sheet feeding rotary rollers face each other.</p> |
