PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antistatic agent that exhibits the excellent endurable antistatic performance and that can inhibit the deterioration of color fastness of a finished textile product. SOLUTION: The antistatic agent comprises a tertiary amine salt or a quaternary ammonium salt of a polyester produced by a condensation polymerization reaction of an ethylene oxide adduct of an amine with an 8-20C aromatic dicarboxylic acid or its derivative as essential components.
