<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a part of ball comes into contact with the surface of a rotary shaft 3 to make the build-up work impossible sometimes when setting the same ball diameter and number as those of a conventional multiple ball bearing having equal number of balls, when returning the rotary shaft so as to coincide with the axial center of the outer ring 7 by shaking the rotary shaft after the rotary shaft 3 has been slanted around the balls of a first track 1 assembled in advance and a plurality of balls 6 have been arranged in the outer ring track 5 of an released second track 4 in the case of assembling of balls of a row having fewer number of balls, in a multiple ball bearing 10 in which the balls in the first track 1 side subjected to a heavy load are arranged more than the second track 4 side subjected to a lower load and a counter bore 8 is formed in the outer ring track formation. SOLUTION: Combination of ball diameter and ball number is selected so that an insert width S formed between mutually confronting balls 6a, 6b is larger than the outside diameter L of the shaft. In this way, when returning the rotary shaft 3 so as to coincide with the axial center of the outer ring 7 while shaking the rotary shaft, the problem that a part of the balls get into contact with the surface of the rotary shaft 4 is eliminated and hence, it can be securely assembled.</p> |
