PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bonded part smoothened by pushing the bonded part in a melted state after carrying out the butt joint by thermobonding so as not to have difference in level, and having high bond strength and excellent flexibility caused by a molten resin extended so as to cover the surfaces of edge parts thereof. SOLUTION: The method for bonding canvas 2 formed by a fiber composed of a thermoplastic resin comprises carrying out the butt joint of both the edges 3 and 4 to be bonded in the heated and melted state, and thereafter pushing the bonded part 8 in the melted state from upper and lower sides to smoothen the bonded part.
