PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen printing machine which can secure good filling properties in a closed squeegee head. SOLUTION: In the screen printing machine for applying paste on a substrate through pattern holes by moving the squeegee head 13 on a mask plate 12, a slender flow control plate 40 supported rotatably around a horizontal rotary shaft 40a is installed in a printing space 35 which houses creamy solder 5 and is contacted with the surface of the mask plate 12 through an opening part between slide members 37A and 37B formed on the lower surface. By the flow of the solder 5 during squeezing, the flow control plate 40 is rotated/deformed around the rotary shaft 40a. In this way, a flow component toward the upper surface of the mask plate 12 is applied to the solder 5 flowing in the printing space so that the packing property of the paste into the pattern holes can be improved with a rolling effect added.
