PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the stable form of atorvastation being a medicine for treating hyperlipemia and hypercholesterolemia. SOLUTION: This [R-(R*,R*)]-2-(4-fluorophenyl)-β,δ-dihydroxy-5-(1- methylethyl)-3-phenyl-4-[(phenylamino)carbonyl]-1H-pyrrol-1-heptanoic acid (atorvastatin) in a new crystalline form called form I, form II and form IV or their hydrate characterized by X-ray powder diffraction and/or NMR in a solid state, and the medicine composition comprising the compound are provided.
