PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warpage inspection method of a setter executable simply, efficiently and accurately. SOLUTION: A straight gage 10 formed by mounting a dial gage 11 on a prescribed position in the state where a probe on the spindle tip is projected sideward is prepared, and the straight gage 10 is placed on a surface plate, to thereby confirm beforehand a zero point position of the dial gage 11. In the state where the setter which is a measuring object is erected vertically on an exclusive truck, the straight gage is allowed to abut on opposite both sides of the setter so as to press the probe of the dial gage onto the surface of the setter, and measurement wherein the difference between the numerical value of the dial gage at that time and the numerical value of the zero point position is defined as the warpage quantity is performed, and the measurement is performed at plural points. Therefore, the warpage of the setter can be measured by the dial gage 11 only by an operation for pressing the straight gage onto the setter in the erected state on the exclusive truck, and the warpage state of the setter can be inspected simply, efficiently and accurately.
