PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a very practical treatment method for a magnesium alloy making a surface of a magnesium alloy member lustrous and surely preserving the surface. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a treatment method for the magnesium alloy member 1. The surface of the member 1 is polished by jetting out a first jet material having fine abrasive grains mixed in liquid on the surface of the member 1 with compressed air. After that, the surface of the member 1 is made lustrous by jetting out a second jet material having fine spherical abrasive grains mixed in liquid on the surface of the member 1 with compressed air.
