PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the installability of power sliding doors on a vehicle. SOLUTION: A vehicle sliding door device comprises a drive mechanism 6 disposed within the sliding door 1 and having an output drum 61; a cable 7 wound on the output drum 61 and secured to one end of a guide rail at one end and to the other end of the guide rail at the other; a guide roller unit 5 rollably supported against the sliding door 1 and slidably guided on the guide rail 3; a pair of pulleys 84 and 85 disposed on the axis of rolling movement of the guide roller unit 5 relative to the sliding door 1 and on the part of the unit sliding against the guide rail 3, for guiding the cable 7; and an opening 51k formed in the guide roller unit 5 to store the pulley 85.
