PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator having an enhanced handleability, wherein power consumption can be lowered. SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises a vegetable compartment and a freezing compartment 13 partitioned by a heat insulation wall 19 and disposed adjacent to each other in the left-right directions, a refrigeration compartment 11 above the compartment 12 and the compartment 13, heat insulation doors 3 and 4 capable of being swung about the left and the right ends of the compartment 11 to open and close the compartment 11, a chilled compartment 14a disposed in the lower part of the compartment 11 and covered with the door 4 and a chilled compartment 14b juxtaposed with the compartment 14a in the left-right direction and covered with the door 3.
