PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separately recover a radioactive nuclide by selectively oxidizing the radioactive nuclide such as<3> H or<14> C present on the surface and internal pore surface of graphite by using the oxidative property possessed by ozone water. SOLUTION: In this method, the radioactive nuclide such as<3> H or<14> C contained in a graphite structure generated according to the decommissioning of a magnox furnace, an improved gas cooling furnace, or a high-temperature furnace is dipped in ozone water at room temperature and wet oxidized, thereby, the nuclide is separately recovered in a liquid. When this method is applied to a part contaminated with a radioactive nuclide generated in a nuclear facility including a reprocessing plant under operation, the radioactive nuclide can be similarly separately recovered in a liquid. Further, when this method is also applied to gaseous tritium (<3> H) and/or carbon (<14> C) generated from the nuclear facility, they can be similarly separately recovered in a liquid.
