PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material suitable to rapid processing and excellent in granularity and sharpness. SOLUTION: In the silver halide color photographic sensitive material having at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one green- sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one non-photosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layer on a transparent support, at least one non-photosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layer contains a dispersion of solid fine particles of a specified dye and at least one of the silver halide emulsion layers contains a silver halide emulsion comprising silver halide grains, wherein grains which occupy >=50% of the total projected area of all the silver halide grains are flat platy grains having an aspect ratio of >=2, the flat platy grains comprise at least 95 mol% silver chloride and the principal planes are composed of 111} faces.
