WEATHER STRIP OF AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent forming of a large gap between a weather strip end and a pillar if the angle between a door belt line and the pillar is acute in a weather strip of an automobile fixed on an upper end of an inner panel of the door belt line when a trim is assembled to the inner panel with fixing the weather strip on a trim end. SOLUTION: This weather strip is formed by a fixing part 4 with a reverse U-shape in section inserted and fixed in a flange 1a, a rising part 8 protrudingly formed on the fixing part 4 and a lip piece 11 protruded to the side from the fixing part 4 and the rising part 8 for sealing a space with a window glass 9. A recessed groove 6 with which the trim end is engaged and locked and an inclining guide 7 toward the recessed groove 6 are formed on the riding part 8. The weather strip is fixed such that the fixing part 4 is inserted and fixed in the flange 1a and then the trim end of the trim 5 is pressed against the guide 7 and successively pushed into it and then engaged and locked with the recessed groove 6 without climbing over the flange.
