PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure in which the size can be reduced at low cost. SOLUTION: A printer 10 is provided with a carrying passage 16 for carrying a recording sheet 13 fed from a sheet feed section 14 to a recording section 17, and a carrying passage 21 for discharging recorded recording sheet 13 to a discharge opening 20. These carrying passages 16 and 22 are arranged to have a tunnel-like cross-section so that they can be utilized as air ducts. The A recording section 17 is provided with a thermal head 31 which is fixed with heat dissipation fins 32. Between the thermal head 31 and the carrying passage 21, a guide plate 40 having a gap is disposed in order to cool the heat dissipation fins 32 by supplying air passed through the carrying passage 21. After cooling the heat dissipation fins 32, the air is discharged through an exhaust slit 45 to the outside of the printer by means of an exhaust fan 46. |
