<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ascertain the intent of an occupant and start following travel control. SOLUTION: An automatic transmission operation part has a high speed region following travel position ACC for controlling travel following a preceding vehicle in a high speed region (high speed region following travel control) and a shift guide groove 32 between a D position and the ACC position, and furthermore it has a low speed region following travel position INCH for controlling travel following the preceding vehicle in a low speed region (low speed region following travel control) and shift guide grooves 33, 34 between each of L positions of first and second speed gears and the LNCH position. The setting of the shift lever 36 at the ACC position is detected by a shift lever position sensor for starting the high speed region following travel control and the setting of the shift lever 36 at the INCH position is detected by the shift lever position sensor for starting the low speed region following travel control.</p> |
