PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detection unit not causing remaining liquid in a liquid detection unit of which the housing a groove is formed. SOLUTION: In a liquid detection unit 10, a housing 11 consisting of a transparent member, a projector and a receiver contained in the housing are provided and a groove 11b whose at least one surface is a total reflection surface in the case liquid is not existing is formed between a projector and a receiver of the housing 11. At least a part of the housing lower end, a slope 11a exists, at least a part of the groove 11b is formed on the slope 11a and the groove part 11b is converging to the groove lower end. |
