PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excavate a curved lateral hole and to positively stabilize a working face. SOLUTION: A cutter part of a guide pipe is provided with excavating pieces used as a cutter bit or a roller bit, so as to be protrudable radially outward from the outer surface of a skin plate by a hydraulic cylinder. A plurality of excavating pieces are arranged at equal spaces in a circumferential direction. The axes of the guide pipe and a following pipe are changeably set by a hydraulic jack, and the axes of the longitudinally adjacent following pipes are changeably set by the hydraulic jack. A pinch valve is provided at an intermediate part of a slurry pipe, and the discharge path cross-sectional area of sediment is thereby made in a totally closed state or a desired throttle opening regardless of the sediment. |
