PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device of a passenger conveyor capable of increasing a safety between steps for loading passengers and a skirt guard, preventing foreign matter from entering therebetween, and providing an excellent configuration. SOLUTION: The safety device 8 comprises bases 8A formed in a trapezoidal shape in cross section each having a top face 8a, two side tilted faces 8b and 8c, and a bottom face 8d and brush bodies 8B planted in the top face 8a. The safety device is disposed in longitudinal direction along the moving direction of the steps 2 in the form of being projected toward the step 2 side.
