PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a riding car allowing opening of a case rescue port by force smaller than conventional force, and allowing work in a short time. SOLUTION: In this riding car 1 of an elevator, an illumination case 6 is arranged on the riding space 5 side of a ceiling plate 2 having a ceiling rescue port 3, the case rescue port 8 is arranged in an under surface part 6a of the illumination case 6, and a case rescue cover 9 is arranged on the case rescue port 8 so as to be freely openable-closable. A connecting rod 12 is rotatably supported by the ceiling plate 2. The case rescue cover 9 is connected movable in the vertical direction by following rotation of the connecting rod 12, and slidable to the connecting rod 12. A spring 18 for energizing the connecting rod 12 is arranged in the rotational direction B for putting the case rescue cover 9 in a just above position from an installing position of the case rescue port 8. Such constitution can reduce a burden to a worker, and can shorten work time.
