PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having superior usability even when a longitudinal carrying passage is formed to reverse a recording medium. SOLUTION: A second paper discharge port 52 is formed on an upper part of a manual paper feed port 20b, and the second paper discharge port 52 is provided with a pair of second paper discharge rollers 54 discharging the recording paper 12 and the like while holding the same. The second paper discharge port 52 and a part at a downstream side in the carrying direction, of a reverse carrying passage 42 are connected by a paper discharge port carrying passage 56. A branching claw 58 is mounted on a branch point of the paper discharge port carrying passage 56 and the longitudinal carrying passage 11 for selectively guiding the recording paper 12 carried from an upstream side in the carrying direction of the reverse carrying passage 42 to one of the longitudinal carrying passage 11 and the paper discharge port carrying passage 56.
