PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of machining an integral power roller for a toroidal continuously variable transmission, improving the productivity thereof. SOLUTION: Center holes 11 and 12 are previously machined in both end faces of a large diameter portion 111 and a small diameter portion 114 of the integral power roller 1. A spindle center 21 of a grinder is inserted into the center hole 11 and a tail center 52 is pushed against the center hole 12 to keep the integral power roller rotatable. With the integral power roller 1 being rotated by rotating the spindle center 21, a grinding wheel 55 being rotated is made to approach in the direction perpendicular to the rotating shaft of the integral power roller 1 for grinding the large diameter portion 111, a plane portion 12, a medium diameter portion 113 and the small diameter portion 114, in sequence.
