摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photo-orientation resin composition for liquid crystal orientation or a liquid crystal orientation resin film in which a prescribed orientation state is non-mechanically formed in a noncontact method by irradiating light having relatively long wavelength thereto and a liquid crystal optical element using the liquid crystal orientation resin film. SOLUTION: This photo-orientation resin composition for liquid orientation comprises a triplet sensitizer and a resin having a residue in which photochemical reaction is induced by light which the triplet sensitizer absorbs and is obtained by adding the triplet sensitizer in an amount of 0.05-1.5 pts.wt. based on 1 pt.wt. resin to the resin. This liquid crystal light orientation resin film to which optical orientation property is imparted is obtained by irradiating a film composed of the composition with linear polarized light having a wavelength which the triplet sensitizer absorbs from the vertical direction or oblique direction or unpolarized light having a wavelength which the triplet sensitizer absorbs from the oblique direction. This liquid crystal optical element is obtained by using the liquid crystal light orientation film obtained by providing a liquid crystal layer on the film.
