PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide PTT chips capable of being stably and industrially melt- molded and a few in loss when being treated and molded, even in drying at high temperature and treatment such as solid-phase polymerization, and to provide a production method thereof. SOLUTION: A molten PTT is extruded in a shape of strand or sheet, quickly cooled and solidified, and then cut in chips, and thereafter crystallized at a suitable temperature and time to produce specific chips, wherein specific chips have a degree of polymerization and crystallization, and a size of fine crystalline, in the suitable range, respectively. |
