PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectangular cylindrical structure hardly chipped at the brick part edge of an angular part and laterally well-balanced to present fine appearance. SOLUTION: In this rectangular cylindrical structure 1, a plurality of brick parts 10 surrounded by vertical joints 8 and lateral joints 9 are longitudinally and laterally arranged on the surface. In each lateral joint 9, a plate 30 having a pattern passing through the whole length of the plate 30 is vertically cut to cut off two baseboards 30A and two side plates 30B, and two baseboards 30A and two side plates 30B are combined and fixed to provide a rectangular cylindrical structure 1 wherein a cutting line L of the baseboard 30A and side plate 30B is set in a position not overlapped with the vertical joint 8.
