PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance optical printer head and an image forming apparatus capable of performing accurate gradation representation. SOLUTION: There is disclosed the optical printer head that drives to activate many light emitting elements 3 according to gradation image data having N (N=an integer not less than three) gradation levels. The emission quantity of the light emitting elements 3 is adjusted based on light quantity correction data produced by each gradation level.
