PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communications navigation system capable of effectively providing necessary map information or the like while fully reflecting the will of a terminal device user on the way the information is provided. SOLUTION: The communications navigation system comprises the terminal device T for receiving and storing information transmitted from a server device SV, while moving together with a vehicle, and the server device SV transmitting information to the terminal device T, and performs a navigation process for assisting in navigating the vehicle. Information on the validity period of the navigation information stored is stored to determine whether or not the terminal device T has been powered (step S30), and when it is powered a determination is made as to whether or not the information is valid at the time when the device is powered, based on the validity period information (step S32); if it is determined not to be valid when the device is powered, the user is asked if the information is to be invalidated (step S51); if it is confirmed that the information is to be invalidated (step S51; YES), a process for invalidating it is carried out (step S52). |
