PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound for a luminescent element having high luminescent efficiency and reliability and provide an organic luminescent element produced by using the compound. SOLUTION: A six-coordinate metal coordination compound is used in an organic luminescent layer. Only one of the ligands has a luminescent bidentate ligand having a metal-carbon bond. The element obtained by using the compound is resistant to a concentration quenching and exhibits highly efficient stable phosphorescent characteristics.
