Positioning device for a vehicle

Marks(5) with codings are applied to the objects at predetermined distances and which by optic sensors(6) are recorded on the vehicle. For absolute location definition of the vehicle during a reference journey the codings are recorded one after the other and the registered values stored as reference values. During the movement of the vehicle following the reference journey the codings of the marks are recorded for rough positioning and then compared with the reference values so that fine positioning can be carried out by means of the optic sensors.
